An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More)

The Princess Comes Across, the 1936 William K. Howard mistaken identity murder mystery romantic royalty comedy (about an aspiring actress who pretends to be a Swedish princess on a cruise ship, who is coming to America to make a movie, and she gets mixed up with a musician on the ship, plus two murders!) starring Carole Lombard, Fred MacMurray, Douglass Dumbrille, Alison Skipworth, William Frawley, Porter Hall, George Barbier, Mischa Auer, and Tetsu Komai. Note that not only did this movie showcase Carole Lombard's great talent for comedy, but it also allowed her to mimic Greta Garbo!

Important Added Info: Note that any posters and lobby cards from this movie are extremely rare. We have only previously auctioned a window card, a mini window card, and two lobby cards (as well as some stills) until we received this insert, which we have never auctioned before! Also note that this poster has never been machine folded! Some pre-1970 insert posters were machine folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 insert posters (note that most post-1970 inserts were NOT machine folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those inserts).

Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It has tiny pinholes around the edges. There is paper loss in the bottom left and top right corners, slightly extending into the edge of the blue background, and someone put a piece of tape on the back of those areas. There are a few scuffs in the image. Other than the above, the poster is in pretty nice condition, and other than the two pieces of tape, it has never had any sort of restoration.
