Heffron silent romantic gambling crime murder melodrama ("A Charming Story of Love and Devotion"; about a wealthy man whose sister is attacked by a would-be boyfriend, and the man dies, and the wealthy man goes to prison, while his sister joins a convent; after many years in prison, he is released, and makes a success of himself, but his past is brought back to haunt him, but fortunately, he is cleared of the original murder, and his sister returns from the convent and they both find true love!) starring Dustin Farnum, Dorothy Wallace, and J. Barney Sherry. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet features a cool image of a man exposing a cheater while they are sitting at a poker table, gambling for high stakes (the man had been "holding out" an ace of hearts playing card!)! Also note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 26" x 40". This poster has been kraftbacked, which means it was backed onto a brown paper soon after it was printed (this process is called "kraft-backing", and posters with it are called "kraft-backed"). One could have it professionally removed from the kraft paper and linenbacked, and it would look great! Condition: good. The blank borders of the poster were slightly trimmed, and the poster now measures 26" x 40" (and there is some small paper loss around the edges of the remaining borders). There are jagged tears in the middle left and middle right of the poster, but they are fortunately almost completely in the solid black background area. There are many creases and scuffs in the solid black areas, and pinholes and tiny areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. The poster has very real defects, but any talented restorer could easily remove this poster from the kraft paper backing, and once it is properly restored, it will look fantastic, and there will be little paint restoration within the actual image!
