A Vintage Autographed Hardcover Book (measures 9 1/2" x 12 1/2" [24 x 32 cm]; 270 pages) (Learn More)

Republic Confidential, the two volume Jack Mathis illustrated historical books containing the history of Republic Pictures, including great photos of their stars and an index of the movies they were in. There were two volumes in the set, The Studio and The Players. Very oddly, Mr. Mathis published volume two "The Players" first in 1992, and then in 1999, he followed up with "The Studio", and called it volume one, which is certainly VERY confusing!

Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by TWELVE people: Marion Shilling, Adrian Booth Brian, Michael Chapin, Gary Gray, Anne Gillis, Dickie Jones, Teala Loring, Sam Edwards, Kathryn Adams, Kathleen Hughes, Paula Raymond, and Jerome Courtland (five of the people signed on the first interior blank page, and the other seven people signed on the page with their photo). We have included images of all the pages that have signatures, as well as the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads. Our consignor obtained all of these autographs in person at the Memphis Film Festival and at the North Carolina Western Film Festival, and we are certain they are all authentic.

Condition: very good. There are a few tiny scuffs on the cover. Otherwise, the book is in nice condition!
