An Original Vintage Folded World War II War Bonds Poster (measures 25" x 38 1/4") (Learn More)

Remember Bataan, the 1940s U.S. World War II (WWII) War Bond poster ("Buy War Bonds"; "They give their lives. You lend your money") encouraging people to purchase war bonds, and featuring a photograph of a charging soldier. Note that the Battle of Bataan lasted three months and resulted in victory for Japan. After the battle, the Japanese forced 60000 to 80000 American and Filipino prisoners of war to march to a POW camp over 60 miles away. The Bataan Death March was characterized by severe physical abuse and wanton killings, and was later judged by an Allied military commission to be a Japanese war crime.

Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: very good. There are some creases along the foldlines, a pinhole in each corner, and creases and a couple of small tears in the bottom border.
