An Autographed Scrapbook Page (measures 8 1/2" x 11") (Learn More) Constance Bennett was an actress from the 1910s to the 1960s. Some of her movies include: Topper, What Prince Hollywood, and It Should Happen to You. She came from a famous acting family (her parents were Richard Bennett and Adrienne Morrison) and her sister Joan Bennett was also a successful actress, and they had a third sister, Barbara, who appeared in a few movies but then retired to become a wife and mother AND Joan Bennett was an actress from the 1920s to the 1980s. Note that in her roles in the 1930s, she had short blonde hair, and in the early 1940s, she massively changed her appearance, with long dark hair (greatly resembling Hedy Lamarr!). She came from a famous acting family (her parents were Richard Bennett and Adrienne Morrison) and her sister Constance Bennett was also a successful actress, and they had a third sister, Barbara, who appeared in a few movies but then retired to become a wife and mother. Some of her movies include: Scarlet Street, The Woman in the Window, Little Women, Father of the Bride, and We're No Angels AND Claudette Colbert was a top Hollywood actress from the 1920s to the 1960s. She was born in Paris, but came to New York City as a preteen, and went to public schools. After graduating, she appeared in more than a dozen Broadway plays, and made her first films for Paramount Pictures in their Astoria, Queens studio. She quickly became a star and was soon a major star. Some of her movies include: It Happened One Night (in her Best Actress Academy Award winning role), Midnight, The Palm Beach Story, Bluebeard's Eighth Wife, Cleopatra (the 1934 version, in the title role), Since You Went Away (in her nominated for Best Actress Academy Award role), Private Worlds (in her nominated for Best Actress Academy Award role), and scores of others! Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by THREE people: Constance Bennett, Joan Bennett, AND Claudette Colbert! Our consignor purchased a collection of autographs that were obtained by a bartender at Club 21 in New York City named "Pat", and they were obtained starting in the 1940s. He did not receive a certificate of authenticity, but we have examined the signatures, and we feel sure they are authentic (and most of the ones from this collection are personalized "To Pat"). In the case of this item, someone (perhaps "Pat"!) took the autograph book pages (one with both Bennett sisters' autographs, and one with Claudette Colbert's autograph) and then they neatly mounted them to a scrapbook page and added small photos of the stars, plus biographies of them (this was likely done in the mid to late 1940s). One could certainly frame and display the entire page, or one might choose to cut it in half and display the two signatures in one frame, and the other one in another. Either way, they make for a very nice presentation! Condition: very good to fine. The autographs are in nice condition. The entire display has just a few minor creases and scuffs around the edges (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
