An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Mexican Movie Poster (measures 27" x 36 3/4" [69 x 93 cm]) (Learn More)

Mujer de Medianoche (literally translates to "Midnight Woman"), the 1952 Victor Urruchua Mexican romantic love triangle crime melodrama (based on the novel by Alejandro Nunez Alonso; about a woman who runs from her arranged marriage, falls in love with a fugitive who is later killed by the police) starring Gloria Marin, Victor Junco, Ernesto Alonso, Katy Jurado, Felipe de Alba, and Silvia Pinal. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Artist: Carlos Vega
Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Mexican movie! Also note that the art on the poster is dated 1950, and yet, the movie was not released in Mexico until 1952, so we imagine there was some kind of delay in getting the movie released (perhaps because of censorship issues). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had minor wear on the folds. It had some pinholes, tears, and paper loss around the edges, mostly in the blank borders. It had staining in the upper left border, which extended into the background area. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
