An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Style A Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) The Lawless, the 1950 Joseph Losey Mexican-American fruit pickers crime melodrama ("Written for the screen by Geoffrey Homes") starring Macdonald Carey, Gail Russell, John Sands, Lee Patrick, John Hoyt, Lalo Rios, Tab Hunter, and Walter Reed NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been folded! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Note that this item (and others we are auctioning in this set of auctions) come to us from the estate of Lee Sanders. Mr. Sanders was a nationally recognized projectionist, film poster collector, and union activist who passed away earlier this year, and the net proceeds from the sale of his varied and eclectic collection will be donated to promote film studies at the Besant School of Happy Valley in Ojai, Ca. Condition: good to very good. There are some creases and tears of varying lengths around the edges of the poster (approximately 1" or less). Learn More about condition grades
