A Set of 8 Original Undated (probably early 1940s) Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Warner Bros. Personality Posters (measure 22" x 28") (Learn More)

a set of 8 special 22" x 28" Warner Bros. personality posters that were issued in the early 1940s (we do not know if this is a complete set, but it seems quite likely that it WOULD BE a complete set, given that lobby cards and jumbo lobby cards were issued in sets of 8). All of the posters are on a "linen" stock, typical of Warner Bros. lobby cards, inserts, and half-sheets from 1938-1942, which makes it extremely likely that this set is from those years, most likely 1941 or 1942, given the stars chosen and their appearance in the posters. Over the years, we have sold a few of these individually, but never a complete set (nor have we seen one before)! It may be many years before another set of 8 is offered again!. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: All of the 8 posters have minor amounts of creases, more so in the lower center of each poster. These creases vary from poster to poster, but none are very noticeable (they are mostly seen when the posters are tilted to the light). Some of the posters have some creases and smudges around the edges. Other than these minor defects (typical of all Warner Bros. linen items of this period), the posters are in surprisingly nice condition, and most important of all, they are really not fragile. Note that the poster of Ida Lupino has more creases than the other posters, and that there is a circular dot stain in her forehead. But overall, one could not hope for this set of posters to have survived in much better condition than they have!

Condition: very good.
