An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Ken Maynard was one of the top cowboy actors from the 1920s to the 1940s. He was a First National star who switched to Columbia and became their biggest star next to Buck Jones, and he continued making B-westerns for studios such as Monogram. Some of his movies include: Heroes of the Range, Range Law, and Harmony Trail. Maynard appeared alongside his horse Tarzan in almost every one of his movies. He passed away in 1973 at the age of 77. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Ken Maynard (it is a vintage still from the 1920s that Maynard signed in 1947)! Note that our consignor inherited this photo (and one other, which we are auctioning in a separate auction) from his father, and he believes them both to surely be authentic. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but comparing these signatures to known Maynard signatures shows that they seem to certainly be authentic, and we completely agree! Also note that this still measures 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm]. Condition: good to very good. The still was attached to an album page, and there is black paper residue on the back of the corners, which has caused uneven discoloration in the corners. In spite of these defects, it would still display well on the new owner's wall! Learn More about condition grades
