Also note that this Italian one-sheet measures 27" x 39" [69 x 99 cm]. Note that it is difficult to accurately date Italian posters, and some unmarked re-release posters can be extremely difficult to distinguish from first releases, so please bear that in mind before you place a bid. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster was folded once in each direction and had darkening on the folds, and stains, tears, and some small paper loss in the blank borders. It had some ink transfer in the background area in the bottom half of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was mounted onto a thin linen with no excess. It wasn't mounted very well, but the poster can be easily removed from the thin linen (it is already separating), and it may be able to just be "pulled apart". Afterwards, any talented restorer could surely properly linenback the poster, and most of the defects are quite "restorable".
