eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 7s985 WITHOUT LOVE Spanish herald '47 Spencer Tracy, Katharine Hepburn & Lucille Ball! Date Sold 6/12/2016Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original 1947 (from the first release of this movie in Spain) Vintage Theatrical Spanish Movie Herald (measures 3 1/2" x 5 1/4" [9 x 13 cm]) (Learn More) Without Love, the 1945 Harold S. Bucquet World War II (WWII) Washington D.C. romantic melodrama ("She was a bashful bride! He walked in his sleep!"; "MGM's Star-Hit!"; "Based on the play by Philip Barry") starring Spencer Tracy, Katharine Hepburn, Lucille Ball, Keenan Wynn, Carl Esmond, Patricia Morison, Felix Bressart, and Gloria Grahame. Note that MGM tried to pair Lucille Ball and Keenan Wynn as a "new comedy team" in this movie, and they appeared in two more movies the following year, but apparently the chemistry just wasn't there. Lucy must have had fond memories of Keenan Wynn, because he appeared in her bit hit movie in 1953, "The Long, Long Trailer". NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that when Spanish heralds have printing on the back, we picture both sides, but when they are blank on the back, we only picture the front. Please note that Spanish heralds, like U.S. heralds, were printed in very large quantities, and then sent to individual theaters in Spain, and they would sometimes have the backs of them overprinted with their theater name and specific play dates. But because a movie might play in Spain for a period of a year or two (traveling from theater to theater), there is no guarantee that the date overprinted on the back of the herald is the same as the date that the herald was first printed (and the date that the movie first played in Spain). Therefore, we don't list the date overprinted on the back of a herald as the date of the herald unless we know that was when the movie first played in Spain. If we believe the herald was printed earlier, then we use that date. If it is important to you that the date on the herald is the date the movie first opened, then please look at our image of the back of this herald to see if there is a different date printed on it. Condition: good to very good. The herald is in pretty nice condition, but the printing from the back bleeds through in the light colored places in the front, which includes the stars' faces (see our images). This would be true of all examples of this herald that have printing on the back, but please take it into consideration before placing your bid. Learn More about condition grades
