A Folded Italian Travel Poster (measures 24 1/4" x 39" [62 x 99 cm]) (Learn More)

All Roads Lead to Rome, the 1936 Italian travel poster promoting travel to Rome, Italy, and featuring art of several arrows all pointing toward Rome by Severo Pazzati. Note that the arrows on the poster incorporate the flags of several countries, including the U.S., Great Britain, Japan, and Germany, and the German "arrow" contains a recognizable portion of a swastika!
Artist: Severo Pozzati
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: fair. The poster is extremely fragile. At some point somebody glued it to a thin brown backing paper and then put white tape on the back of all four borders. Sections of the top border of the poster became separated from the poster along with some of the top black background and we have almost all of those pieces. We did not attempt to reattach them to the poster, because surely the new owner will want a professional restorer to do that. The poster also has an uneven 12" tear near the center of the top, extending into the top of the arrows. There are many horizontal creases scattered throughout the poster, some likely caused by it being glued to the backing paper. If I owned this great poster, I would surely have it removed from the backing paper and properly backed and restored. Please bear in mind the poster's many defects and the cost of restoration before bidding on it. After proper restoration, the poster will look fantastic!
