An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Stage Play Poster (1sh; measures 27 1/2" x 39") (Learn More)

The Sins of Hollywood, the 1922 stage play production ("by W.C. Herman"; "A Dramatic Thunderbolt"; "Laying bare the inner lives of the movie stars and the truth about Hollywood"; "...Not a motion picture..."; "'Does this gun belong to you?'"). We know from newspaper ads we located that this played in 1922 in various cities including Detroit, and that it contained a "carefully selected cast", but we could not find out anything more, except that it was apparently like a "Hollywood Babylon" of its day! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet has been trimmed and now measures 27 1/2" x 39". Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: fair. It appears that a small amount has been trimmed from the bottom edge of the poster. The poster is somewhat brittle and there are very large areas of separation along the foldlines and some tears and areas of tattering throughout the poster that have been repaired with tape from the back. The poster is mostly "all there", and after linenbacking by a talented professional, the poster will look great, and will likely need little paint restoration within the image. However, please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects and are willing to pay to have them properly restored!
