What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small tears and tiny paper loss scattered along the vertical fold and across the top horizontal fold, with a lesser amount on the other two folds. It had some stains and smudges scattered throughout, more so in the white background areas. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. A really talented restorer did expert restoration to the poster, but they painted over almost all of the white areas, to "even them out". Yet, because it was really well done, the poster does not have a "restored" look, and it will display nicely on the new owner's wall. Still, bear in mind the extent of the restoration before bidding on this extremely scarce poster!
