The man all evil!"; "Women Hungrily Sought His Embraces as He Taught Them Salvation Through Sin!"; "NOW SEE the incredible life of a wild fanatic whose indiscretions were the shame of a nation!"; "No Woman Could Resist Him... No Power Could Stop Him..."; about the famous Russian "Mad Monk" who became the power behind the throne in pre-Russian Revolution Russia) starring Edmund Purdom (in the title role as Rasputin), Gianna Maria Canale, John Drew Barrymore (billed as "John Barrymore Jr."), Jany Clair, and Ugo Sasso NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that only 4 lobby cards were produced for this movie, and this is the complete set. It was quite common for studios to only make sets of four for short subjects or low budget movies (or re-releases of big budget movies), because it allowed them to print the sets at half the cost, and on shorts and low budget movies, they tried to save money any way they could (especially since it is likely few theaters even bothered to order lobby cards for these titles, since they were likely shown in addition to a better movie). Note also that this auction also includes the printed envelope this item originally came with! It includes four studio-issued corrective title snipes for the alternate title "Giant Monster" (they appear to have never been used)! Condition: very good. The set includes four unused snipes that were in the studio-issued printed envelope) and they are in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
