Enlistment"; "The Torch of Liberty") encouraging citizens to support the war effort by purchasing war savings stamps, and featuring James Montgomery Flagg art of Uncle Sam with his hands on his hips. Note that everyone in the world is familiar with Flagg's famous "I Want You" Uncle Sam poster, but few know of this similar poster he also created for World War I! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: James Montgomery Flagg Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had some tiny bits of paper loss in the blank borders. It had a pair of staple holes in the background to the right of Sam's shoulder and a pair in the lower right, to the right of the word "my". Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
