eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 7c098 THUNDER ROAD Belgian '58 great intense artwork of moonshiner Robert Mitchum with gun! Date Sold 4/8/2014Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Belgian Movie Poster (measures 14" x 18 1/2" [36 x 47 cm]) (Learn More) Thunder Road, the classic 1958 Arthur Ripley alcohol bootlegging crime thriller ("Robert Mitchum roars down the hottest highway on earth!"; "Robert Mitchum blasts the screen!"; "Raw and rough as today's billion-dollar whiskey war!"; "He's trapped between the T-Men and the Terror-Mob on the hottest highway on Earth!"; "More savage than the Tommy-Gun Massacre of the Roaring Twenties... today's billion-dollar whiskey war!!!"; "Based on an original story by Robert Mitchum") starring Robert Mitchum, Gene Barry, Jacques Aubuchon, Keely Smith, Trevor Bardette, Sandra Knight (billed as "Introducing Sandra Knight"), and Jim Mitchum (he played his father's kid brother, which seemed believable because of how well Mitchum had aged!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 14" x 18 1/2" [36 x 47 cm]. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this is commonly done with Belgian posters, similar to how the blank top is trimmed off of U.S. window cards). There are remnants of a piece of paper glued to the back of the poster across the middle that has caused a slightly raised area there. There are a few 1/2" and smaller tears around the edges of the poster. The poster is otherwise in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
