An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 13 3/4" [28 x 35 cm]) (Learn More)

Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon, the 1942 Roy William Neill London England Scotland Yard detective mystery crime thriller ("Based on the story 'The Dancing Men' by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle") starring Basil Rathbone (in the title role "as Sherlock Holmes"), Nigel Bruce ("as Doctor Watson"), Lionel Atwill ("as Moriarty"), Kaaren Verne, William Post Jr., Dennis Hoey, Harry Cording, and Harold De Becker

Important Added Info: Note that sometimes theaters would not have 8x10s to display in their 8x10 frames, so they would take an 11" x 14" lobby card, and trim out an 8" x 10" portion of the image and use that instead. Often, they would save the rest of the card, and after the movie was done playing, they would tape the 8" x 10" portion to the rest of the card from the back. That is what happened to this card. The top right was neatly cut with a razor and then taped back on with brown paper tape from the back, but they did not save the tiny portion of the right blank border that they had trimmed off (see our image). Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good. 1/4" was trimmed from the right blank border. The heart of the image was trimmed to 8" x 10" and then taped back on from the reverse (see above). There are pinholes in the corners and a few smudges in the borders.
