2 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 10" x 13" [25 x 33 cm]) (Learn More)

Colleen, the 1927 Frank O'Connor silent horse racing sports gambling romantic comedy ("Beautiful women - racing horses - love and thrills"; "Story by Randall H. Faye") starring Madge Bellamy, Charles Morton, J. Farrell MacDonald, Ted McNamara, Sammy Cohen, and Marjorie Beebe. Note that male lead Charles Morton was a handsome 20 year-old actor who seemed to have a great career ahead of him (he would soon have major roles in "Four Sons" and "4 Devils"). But apparently the coming of sound greatly hurt him (perhaps it was he who had a terrible speaking voice, and not John Gilbert!), but by 1933, he was all washed up. But unlike the vast majority of actors in a similar situation, he did not die a young tragic death. He continued acting all the way until 1966, when he passed away from a heart attack, having appeared in an amazing 157 movies, often in very minor or uncredited roles. If anyone knows more about him, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that these lobby cards have been trimmed and they now measure 10" x 13" [25 x 33 cm]. Both were then lightly glued to 11" x 14 1/2" boards, to give the illusion of them again having borders. One could frame them as they are in a standard 11x14 frame, or one could remove them from the boards and have them restored (but only a professional or a talented amateur should perform this, because it can be difficult to remove a glued item).

Condition: good. Both cards were trimmed and glued to boards (see above).
