An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More)

Should a Woman Tell?, the 1919 John Ince silent romantic love triangle family relationship melodrama ("The tense drama of a soul in doubt"; "Featuring Alice Lake and a distinguished cast"; "Story and Scenario by Finis Fox"; the age old story of a country girl who goes to the big city and is "taken advantage of" by a man there, and she returns home, and her loyal boyfriend proposes to her, but she has trouble telling him about "her past", and when she does, he takes the news very badly!) starring Alice Lake, Frank Currier, Jack Mulhall, Nellie Anderson, Lydia Knott, and John Gilbert. Note that John Gilbert was billed as "Jack Gilbert" in this movie (which is how he was billed in movies at this time). He had uncredited roles in 1915 and then had credited roles in 1916, but he still spent the next several years not achieving major stardom. One of his first major roles was in 1922 when he starred in an early version of "The Count of Monte Cristo". Of course, he would become a top star of the mid 1920s, and then he would co-star with a very young Greta Garbo, and the rest, as they say, is history!

Important Added Info: The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. We have provided both a high quality scan of the image and also a separate image of how the glass slide looks, but in that digital image, you can really just see the outline of the slide and defects (if any) around the edges.

Condition: very good. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. The slide has some wear on the black tape, but is otherwise in pretty nice condition!
