An Autographed 4 1/2" x 6" [11 x 15 cm] Cut Album Page in 12" x 16" Matted Display (Learn More)

Donald Meek was a Scottish-born actor from the 1920s to the 1940s. He had more than 800 roles during his illustrious career and he is famous for his role as Dr. Amos Crabtree in the "S.S. Van Dine Mystery Series". Some of his other movies include: The Hole in the Wall, Romance in Manhattan, The Informer, Pennies from Heaven, Stagecoach, and Babes on Broadway. He passed away in 1946 at the age of 68.
Important Added Info: This cut album page has been personally autographed (signed) by Donald Meek! It was nicely matted with a REPRODUCTION still to create a cool display that is ready to hang on the wall! The top mat is not attached to the back mat, which is a plus, because it means you can see the back of both items (because they were attached to the back of the top mat, which we have photographed; see our image). The entire album page was present, and above the autograph, Mr. Meek wrote "To Marilyn, Best wishes", which does not show from the front, but it can be see from the back. Our consignor is a longtime collector who acquired this autograph and then had it matted with the additional item. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic.

Our consignor is a longtime collector of movie posters who purchased this item years ago, and it was signed, but he doesn't know how the signatures were obtained, and he (and we) believe it is likely that the autographs are authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.

Condition: very good.
