Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More) A New Hollywood Novelties, the 1940-41 stock poster for short subjects in the Vitaphone Hollywood Novelties short subject series. Note that this poster is a "stock" poster created for entries in the Vitaphone "Hollywood Novelties" series, with scenes from typical entries in the series, including one of football players, and one of cheerleaders. Theaters would order this poster, and then could either write in the name of the specific short in the box at the bottom, or could order paper snipes so place in that box. In this case, the name of a specific short, "Mexican Jumping Beans", was hand-lettered into the box. If anyone knows more about this particular short or this series of shorts, please e-mail us and we will post it here. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. smudges, faint stains, and minor creases throughout the poster (most noticeable in the white areas); areas of separation and tiny tears along the foldlines (some repaired with tape from the back); lightly folded in half an extra time; pairs of staple holes in each corner (with some small tears from rough removal which have been repaired with tape from the back) Learn More about condition grades
