An Original Vintage Campaign Book Envelope (measures 10" x 13" [25 x 33 cm]; book NOT included, see below) (Learn More) Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse and Silly Symphonies, the 1932 campaign book released by United Artists featuring images and information about the release of upcoming Walt Disney single-reel feature cartoon musicals. In 1932, United Artists signed Walt Disney away from Columbia Pictures, and they were extremely proud of that accomplishment, and they created this elaborate campaign book to inform theater owners of that fact. The campaign book is filled with images of United Artists posters and advertising, and a huge amount of ads showing the many tie-in products that were being made, including Mickey Mouse kiddie jewelry, Mickey Mouse undies, and much, much more! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that in 1932, as noted above, United Artists sent a special campaign book about their newly acquired Mickey Mouse and Silly Symphonies cartoons to theater owners. They sent the campaign book in a special printed envelope, and THIS AUCTION IS FOR THE PRINTED ENVELOPE THAT THE CAMPAIGN BOOK WAS MAILED IN. The campaign book is NOT included in this auction. You are solely bidding on the printed envelope, which is surely very rare. Condition: good to very good. The envelope is folded slightly off center vertically, and it has some wear along that fold and around the edges (see our images of the front and back of the envelope). Remember that the campaign book the envelope originally contained is NOT included in this auction. Learn More about condition grades
