An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) a circa 1930s advertisement for a performance by Don Redman and His Orchestra at King & King of Broadway in New York City. Note that Don Redman was a major black African American jazz musician of the 1920s, providing most of the arrangements for the Fletcher Henderson Orchestra. In 1931, he started his own jazz band, and he was highly successful throughout the 1930s. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: fair to good. The card has some water staining and scuffs scattered throughout. There is a nail hole in Redman's eyelid and one in the center of the bottom border, with a few smaller nail holes scattered in the card. A talented restorer could restore the above defects and after proper restoration, the card would look fantastic. Learn More about condition grades
