The Masquerader, the 1933 Richard Wallace London England political mistaken identity romantic melodrama ("Screenplay by Howard Estabrook"; "Dialogue by Moss Hart"; "Based on John Hunter Booth's Dramatization of the novel by Katherine Cecil Thurston"; about a member of Parliament who is a drunk and has an estranged wife and a mistress; when he botches a major speech in Parliament, he hides out at his cousin's house, who is his virtual twin, and he asks the cousin to "take his place" in Parliament, which he does, but he also gets romantically involved with both the wife and the mistress!) starring Ronald Colman (in a dual role as "identical cousins"), Elissa Landi, Juliette Compton, Helen Jerome Eddy, David Torrence, and Claude King

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that only the top 2/3 of this poster is present. It was printed in 2 pieces. One had the top 2/3 of the poster and the other had the bottom 1/3, AND THAT BOTTOM 1/3 PIECE IS MISSING. Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept that only 2/3 of the poster is present! Note that it is very fortunate that the portion of the poster that is present contains the title, Colman and Landi's credits, and likely the majority of the main image (we have never seen the rest of the poster, so we don't know what was in the bottom other than credits). The poster is mounted on foamcore and needs to be sent in a very large flat package that measures approximately 42" x 55". We will pack this poster between four super heavy 42" x 55" boards that we have purchased for $5 each, meaning that the cost of packaging this poster is $20 (because of the expense of the large cardboard). VERY IMPORTANT! This poster will likely cost around $100 total to send within the U.S. via ground UPS (but of course, we will only charge the actual cost of shipping) plus the above stated $20 for the packaging materials (we are also auctioning similar size posters that could be packed together with this one, and if so, the shipping per poster will come down drastically). Please bear this shipping cost in mind before placing a bid on this poster (and it would surely cost hundreds of dollars to send it out of the United States, so we ask that no one bid on this poster unless they can accept delivery of it within the U.S.).

Note that this item needs to be shipped in an oversized flat package. Most of these items absolutely can only be sent in flat packages, and could not possibly be rolled into a tube. Some of them might SEEM like they could be rolled in a tube, like a half-sheet, but they can't. The reason these items are in this auction is specifically because they CAN'T be rolled (because rolling any of them would damage them, even if they somehow can be rolled). So please bear in mind that this item must be sent in a LARGE flat package (the size of the package will depend on the size of the item when ready for shipping), and bear this added expense in mind before placing a bid on it. IN THE CASE OF EXTREMELY LARGE FLAT ITEMS, THE SHIPPING COST WILL BE VERY HIGH, SO PLEASE DO NOT BID WITHOUT THINKING ABOUT THAT ADDED SHIPPING AMOUNT, AND INCLUDE THAT AMOUNT IN WHAT YOU BID (so if you would pay $150, but the shipping is likely $100, then only bid $50). And those who live outside the U.S. and who do not have a U.S. address to ship to SHOULD NOT BID AT ALL ON EXTREMELY LARGE FLAT ITEMS, BECAUSE THEY COST HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TO SEND OUTSIDE THE U.S.

Condition: poor. Only the top two-thirds is present (see above). The part that is present was mounted to foamcore and it has tears and paper loss on parts of the folds.
