eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result z698 SO THIS IS MARRIAGE lobby card '24 Eleanor Boardman & Conrad Nagel fight over their child! Date Sold 5/29/2008Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) So This is Marriage!, the 1924 Hobart Henley silent romantic wedding newlywed melodrama ("Including the sensational Babylonian spectacle in natural colors!") starring Eleanor Boardman, Conrad Nagel, Lew Cody, Clyde Cook, Warner Oland (as King David), John Boles (as Uriah; in his second movie!), and Mabel Julienne Scott (as Bathsheba, in the movie called "Bath-Sheba"). Note that this movie had a very early two-color Technicolor sequence, which was 729 feet long, and it showed a Biblical scene of David and Bathsheba, which possibly contained brief nudity! If so, this would have been the first time there was nudity in a Hollywood production (and they made a big deal of this color sequence on the advertising). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good. Someone glued many small Greyhound bus ads over the entire back of the card, but they do not affect the front, and otherwise, it is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
