Date Sold 7/5/2015Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) The Sable Lorcha, the 1915 Lloyd Ingraham silent Chinatown Asian villain crime thriller (a wacky story of a retired businessman who is kidnapped by a Chinese man who proceeds to torture him, because he thinks he killed many Chinese decades before, but the villain does not know that the man has a twin brother who actually committed the atrocities, and who also made a fortune smuggling in Chinese to the U.S.) starring Tully Marshall, Thomas Jefferson (in a dual role as twin brothers!), Charles Lee, Elmer Clifton, and Loretta Blake. Note that the "Sable Lorcha" of the title refers to the "Chinese junks", which were ships used to smuggle illegal aliens. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: good. There is some deterioration in the bottom play dates area, and some of the tape from the bottom edge is missing. Learn More about condition grades
