An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Chapter #6 (The Tarantula's Trail) One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Bride Thirteen, the 1920 Richard Stanton silent romantic adventure thriller serial ("The Serial Supreme in Fifteen Episodes"; "Story by E. Lloyd Sheldon"; about thirteen different brides being kidnapped at the altar by Arabian villains who intend to put them into harems; apparently, war footage of all sorts was used in this movie, because we have seen advertising that refers to how realistic it is because it is with actual soldiers and sailors!) starring Mary Christensen, Marguerite Clayton, Arthur Earle, Gretchen Hartman, W.E. Lawrence and John B. O'Brien. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. This serial is considered "lost", as there are likely no surviving prints of it.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some folds and pinholes, tears, and small paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects, and if the missing blank paper in the top right corner was ever restored, it is no longer there. Note that the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around three of the borders.
