An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Whispering Smith, the 1926 George Melford silent romantic love triangle railroad train melodrama (produced by Cecil B. DeMille; about a rancher who waits for wrecked trains and then loots them; a man is sent by the railroad to stop the looting, but it gets complicated when he falls in love with the wife of the rancher) starring H.B. Warner (in the title role as Whispering Smith), Lillian Rich, John Bowers, Lilyan Tashman, Eugene Pallette, Richard Neill, Jim Mason, and Warren Rogers. Note that this movie was remade in 1948 with Alan Ladd in the title role. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. Otherwise, the glass slide itself is in nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
