An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More)

Vanity Fair (of Today), the 1932 Chester M. Franklin romantic woman-climbs-ladder-of-success-using-men melodrama ("The modern version of Thackeray's Famous Classic!"; about a woman desperate to achieve success, even though it means romancing and using many men she does not care about) starring Myrna Loy (as Becky Sharp), Conway Tearle, Barbara Kent, Walter Byron, and Anthony Bushell. Note that this was one of many movie adaptations of William Makepeace Thackeray's classic novel, "Vanity Fair", but this was the only one that "modernized" it and brought it into the present day. It is virtually completely forgotten, and there was a 1935 version starring Miriam Hopkins, called "Becky Sharp", which was the first Technicolor feature.

Important Added Info: Note that first release 1932 movie posters from this Myrna Loy movie are incredibly rare. We have never sold even a single poster from this movie until we received this insert! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good. There are five extra horizontal folds. There is fine surface paper loss on the bottom horizontal fold. There is 2" of separation at the right end of the top fold. There are creases scattered along parts of the foldlines and in the area between the regular folds and the extra folds. There are unfortunate smudges on Loy's face and pinholes, tiny tears, and tiny bits of paper loss in the blank borders. Certainly, one would wish this poster did not have these defects, but it is also incredibly rare, and certainly, any talented restorer could perform restoration to the above defects, after which, the poster will look fantastic!
