An Original Vintage Unfolded Political Campaign Poster (measures 15 3/4" x 19 3/4" [40 x 50 cm]) (Learn More) James Middleton Cox and Franklin D. Roosevelt, the 1920 political campaign poster ("America First") promoting the Democratic ticket of James Middleton Cox for President, and Franklin D. Roosevelt for Vice President. Of course, Warren Harding won the 1920 presidential election with Calvin Coolidge as Vice President, but FDR did not give up after losing, and he won the presidential election in 1932 (and three more after that!). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster is for the Democratic candidates in this election. There is a poster that is extremely similar (except of course for the images and the biographies) that is for the Republican candidates. We guess that in 1920, they used the same printer for both parties, something they would never do today! We are auctioning the other poster in a separate auction. Because this poster is fragile, we will send it in a large flat package, and we will not roll it under any circumstances. Condition: good. The poster has many tears and small areas of paper loss around the edges. Someone put wide paper tape on the back of each border. Learn More about condition grades
