An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Italian Locandina Movie Poster (measures approximately 13" x 27") (Learn More) Et Mourir de Plaisir (released in the U.S. in 1961 as "Roger Vadim's Blood and Roses"), the 1960 Roger Vadim French/Italian romantic vampire psychological horror thriller ("It plunges you into the midnight zone beyond the grasp of reason!"; "It dares to face the midnight madness of the supernatural!"; "Is she ghoul or girl?"; "Was she jealously insane... Or the reincarnation of centuries-old evil?"; this film featured author Sheridan Le Fanu's famous sexy female vampire Millarca, Countess Karnstein) starring Mel Ferrer, Elsa Martinelli, Annette Stroyberg (billed as "Annette Vadim"; as Carmilla), Rene-Jean Chauffard, Marc Allegret, and Alberto Bonucci NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this Italian/French movie! Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are slightly noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "Pre-Restoration Defects & Quality of Restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster was folded across the middle and there were creases and tiny areas of surface paper loss across that fold. There were some creases and scuffs around the edges of the poster, and an unevenness to the coloring in the blank borders (typical of Italian locandinas of this period). Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well. Learn More about condition grades
