The soap was created in 1879 by the Procter & Gamble Company and often used the slogans "It floats!" and "99 44/100% Pure". For a long time, in addition to their bar soap (cakes), they also sold a box of "Ivory Flakes", which was used for washing clothes, and was also "99 44/100% pure". Artist: George O'Neill Important Added Info: Note that this special poster is printed on a heavyweight paper stock like that used on window cards, but it measures 11" x 21". Condition: fair. There is paper loss around the edges and surface paper loss in the left tagline area. There are some stains scattered throughout.
