An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Carnival Lady, the 1933 Howard Higgin romantic marriage circus carnival melodrama (story by Harold Tarshis; a wacky story of a man who is jilted by his beautiful fiancee on his wedding day because his family went broke in the stock market crash, and she didn't know it, and he goes off and joins a circus and becomes a daredevil, and he returns to try to win back his girl, with tragic results) starring Boots Mallory (a pretty young lady who had appeared in the Ziegfeld Follies, but she only appeared in ten movies in the 1930s; she gained notoriety for posing for lingerie photographs and for being painted nude by Rolf Armstrong; one of her early movies was with James Cagney, and she married his brother William, and was later married to Herbert Marshall), Allen Vincent, Jason Robards Sr., Donald Kerr, and Rollo Lloyd NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. When we auction slides that have a cardboard holder, we provide a separate image of how the cardboard holder looks, but when we auction slides with the black tape (like this one) we only provide the scan of the glass slide image, because that really is about all there is to see. Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
