An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 10 3/4" x 14" [27 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

The Lady in Ermine, the 1927 James Flood silent Austria Italy historical infidelity romantic melodrama ("From the famous operetta by Rudolph Schanzer & Ernest Welisch"; a very clever story of an Italian Count and his wife living in a castle, where her grandmother once slept with a leader of the enemy so that her husband would not be executed, but when the husband found out, he killed her!; back in the present day, which was 1810, the Count goes off to war and the Austrian enemy occupies his home, and when the Count returns, he is arrested and ordered to be executed, and his wife tells the enemy leader about her grandmother and offers to make the same deal with him, and the movie ends with her going to him clad only in ermine!) starring Corinne Griffith, Einar Hanson, Ward Crane, Francis X. Bushman, and Jane Keckley. Note that the movie was remade in 1948 by Ernst Lubitsch with Betty Grable. Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been trimmed and it now measures 10 3/4" x 14" [27 x 36 cm]. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good. Approximately 1/4" was trimmed from the bottom border and there is a tear at bottom center that was repaired with tape from the back. There are faint smudges and scuffs around the edges, and there is a 3" vertical scratch mark at top right that runs into the image background. See our super-sized images to get a good sense of the condition of this card.
