Date Sold 9/22/2016 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 2 Original Vintage Theatrical French Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 9" x 11 3/4" [23 x 30 cm]) (Learn More) La piste des geants (literally translates to "Track of the Giants"), the 1931 Pierre Couderc adventure epic winning-of-the-West cowboy western starring Gaston Glass, Jeanne Helbling, Margot Rousseroy, Raoul Paoli, and Louis Mercier. Note that this movie was made in simultaneous English, French, Spanish, and German versions. The German version starred Theo Shall and Marion Lessing and was called "Die gross fahrt". The Spanish version starred George J. Lewis and Carmen Guerrero and was called "La gran jornada". The English version starred John Wayne, Marguerite Churchill, and El Brendel, and was called "The Big Trail". They are exactly the same movies, except for the language difference and the different cast (this is very similar to the 1931 U.S. and Mexican versions of "Dracula"), except in this case, the same director, Raoul Walsh, directed both versions.
