Date Sold 4/4/2019Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Tri-Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) Unconquered Bandit, the 1935 Harry S. Webb cowboy western (based on the story by Carl Krusada) starring Tom Tyler, Lillian Gilmore, Slim Whitaker (billed as "Charles Whitaker"), William Gould, John Elliott, Earl Dwire, Joe De La Cruz, George Chesebro, Lew Meehan, Richard Alexander (billed as "Dick Alexander"), and George Hazel. Note that this movie was distributed state by state through the "states rights" system, so it is difficult to know what posters are from the very first release (any posters from this movie are extremely rare!). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one of this style in all our years of auctioning! Note also that this three-sheet was printed in 3 sections designed to overlap. Also note this three-sheet poster was tri-folded only (which means there is one less vertical machine fold than usual). This means the poster has a significantly lesser number of folds than with three-sheets folded in the "regular" way, which is nice! Tri-folded three-sheets need to be sent in an oversized flat package, which measures roughly 13" x 30", so they cost more to send than regularly folded three-sheets, especially if they are sent to non-U.S. addresses. Note that this item needs to be shipped in an oversized flat package. Most of these items absolutely can only be sent in flat packages, and could not possibly be rolled into a tube. Some of them might SEEM like they could be rolled in a tube, like a half-sheet, but they can't. The reason these items are in this auction is specifically because they CAN'T be rolled (because rolling any of them would damage them, even if they somehow can be rolled). So please bear in mind that this item must be sent in a LARGE flat package (the size of the package will depend on the size of the item when ready for shipping), and bear this added expense in mind before placing a bid on it. IN THE CASE OF EXTREMELY LARGE FLAT ITEMS, THE SHIPPING COST WILL BE VERY HIGH, SO PLEASE DO NOT BID WITHOUT THINKING ABOUT THAT ADDED SHIPPING AMOUNT, AND INCLUDE THAT AMOUNT IN WHAT YOU BID (so if you would pay $150, but the shipping is likely $100, then only bid $50). And those who live outside the U.S. and who do not have a U.S. address to ship to SHOULD NOT BID AT ALL ON EXTREMELY LARGE FLAT ITEMS, BECAUSE THEY COST HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TO SEND OUTSIDE THE U.S. Condition: good to very good. The upper section of the poster has portions of in paper loss of the edges and some separation along portions of the center vertical foldline (see our image). The other two sections, however, are in really nice condition, and after a pretty simple linenbacking the poster would look fantastic! Learn More about condition grades
