An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Russian Movie Poster (measures 23 1/4" x 40 3/4" [59 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Dama s Sobachkoy (released in the U.S. in 1962 as "Lady With the Dog", and in other English-speaking countries as "The Lady with the Little Dog"), the 1960 Iosif Kheifits Russian infidelity romantic melodrama ("Anton Chekhov's classic love story"; about a rich married Moscow banker who meets a beautiful married woman while on vacation, and they have an affair, and when they both return to Moscow with their spouses, and they resume their affair) starring Iya Sawina, Aleksey Batalov, Nina Alisova, Pantelejmon Krymov, and Yuri Medevdev. Note that this story begins with the banker seeing the woman walk her dog each day, and he dreams of having an affair with her, and of course he does! Artist: Alexander Iosifovich Shamash Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Russian movie (which we have never auctioned before!). Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. There are some edge defects, dot stains, smudges, areas of darkening and creases scattered in various areas, typical of Russian posters of this period (see our image).
