RKO had ceased to exist at the time this movie was finally released, and Universal probably re-used old printing plates, and put their logo at the bottom, covering over the old one which explains why materials on this movie have both studios printed on them! Note that this twenty-four sheet was printed in 12 sections designed to overlap. Also note that this poster needs to be sent in an oversized flat package, which measures roughly 16" x 31" x 2", so it will cost more to send than items that fit in our standard flat packages, especially if they are sent to non-U.S. addresses. Finally, note that this is one of a remarkable collection of ELEVEN 24-sheets we are currently auctioning, and they are from 1957 to 1986, years that you would not expect ANY 24-sheets to have survived from, and they include first release 24-sheets from both Star Wars and Return of the Jedi, which are surely in the handful of most rare Star Wars posters there are! This is an incredibly rare opportunity to add any of these eleven posters to your collection! Condition: very good. There is darkening and someone wrote the title on the back of the foldline that was in the section that was on the outside when the poster was fully folded. This is the section in the top left corner, and it falls on the back of the area above Leigh's head, but it does not affect the front, although there are two tiny areas of paper loss in that area. There are some creases, smudges, and tiny tears on the other foldlines, and some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds.
