An Original Vintage Autographed MGM Letterhead and Card (letterhead measures 8 1/2" x 11"; card measures 3" x 7") (Learn More) Roddy McDowall was an English child actor of the late 1930s and early 1940s who successfully made a transition to adult roles. Some of his movies include: Planet of the Apes (as Cornelius), How Green Was My Valley, and The Longest Day. He also did much TV in his later years. In his later years, he found much additional success as a photographer, often photographing celebrities he knew personally. He passed away in 1998 at the age of 70. Important Added Info: Note that this lot consists of two different items signed by Roddy McDowall. The first is a letter that was received by our consignor in 1984 after he wrote a nice letter to McDowall asking him if he could send him a poster to autograph and return. The second is a card that McDowall sent along with the signed poster (our consignor sent him a second poster which he told McDowall he could keep, but McDowall returned it as well, saying that he had it already!).
