26 Undated (probably 1960s) Re-release Vintage Theatrical Swiss 8 1/4" x 10 1/4" [21 x 26 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More)

Det Sjunde Inseglet (released in the U.S. in 1958 as "The Seventh Seal"), the classic 1957 Ingmar Bergman Swedish fantasy medieval plague metaphysical meaning-of-life-and-death melodrama ("One of the greatest and most powerful European films in a quarter of a century"; "The Story of a Challenge to Death") starring Max von Sydow, Bengt Ekerot (as Death), Gunnar Bjornstrand, Nils Poppe, Bibi Andersson, Inga Gill, and Ake Fridell

Important Added Info: Note that these cool stills from this all time classic are somewhat of a mystery! They were discovered in a Swiss archive, and our best guess is that they are Swiss stills, likely from a 1960s re-release of this movie. They ARE very nicely printed, and could be from the first release, but because they have no writing anywhere on the front or back, and no studio logo or information, we think it is more likely they are from the 1960s. We also have a separate auction of Swiss stills that do have the SF logo and white borders, and we believe those to be from the 1959 release of this movie. Finally, we also have a set of Swiss lobby cards in a separate auction (those are stills that were mounted onto boards with grommets in the corners), and we believe those to be from 1960s re-releases, because those also lack the SF logo and borders. Also note that normally on our groups of more than eight black and white stills, we only picture eight of them (because of time limitations). But because this auction is for a really nice set of 26 different black and white stills from this classic movie, we have provided images of all of them! Also note that these stills measure 8 1/4" x 10 1/4" [21 x 26 cm].

Condition: very good to fine.
