eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 8a228 SPIDER BABY 1sh '68 Lon Chaney Jr., Carol Ohmart, savage hunger of a black widow!! Date Sold 6/14/2015Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 29" x 41" [74 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Spider Baby, or The Maddest Story Ever Told, the 1968 Jack Hill horror thriller ("'Come into my parlor, said the spider to the...'"; "Seductive innocence of Lolita, savage hunger of a black widow!"; "What ever happened to... Spider Baby") starring Lon Chaney Jr. (billed as "Lon Chaney"), Carol Ohmart, Quinn K. Redeker, Beverly Washburn, and Jill Banner. The movie has a strange past! It was filmed in 1964, and then was not released until 1968, and it was a very limited one. After it received this limited release, it was re-titled "The Liver Eaters" and released as a double-bill in 1971 with "Bloodsuckers" (and the double-bill poster deceptively said "Both All New", even though that clearly was not true). Because it was so narrowly released, first release 1968 posters from this movie are incredibly rare. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This poster is extremely rare! We have only auctioned it once in the past 25 years, and that example was in much lesser condition. Also note that this one-sheet measures 29" x 41" [74 x 104 cm]. Condition: very good. The poster has some extra creases along parts of some folds, with small separation and very tiny paper loss at the bottom crossfold. It has a few tiny tears in the borders. Otherwise, it is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
