An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Theodora Goes Wild, the 1936 Richard Boleslawski romantic comedy ("Gayest entertainment of the year!"; "Riotous romantic comedy!"; about a small town proper teacher who decides to write a romance novel, and when it becomes a best seller, she goes to New York and has many adventures) starring Irene Dunne (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; in the title role as Theodora Lynn), Melvyn Douglas, Thomas Mitchell, Thurston Hall, Rosalind Keith, Spring Byington, and Henry Kolker NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the lobby card was backed onto a board backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original lobby card (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Condition: fair. The card had areas of paper loss around the edges and many scuffs within the image area, with lots in the bottom half of Dunne's face in the central image and in the faces of both stars in the right image. The entire card had darkened. Someone paperbacked the card and did restoration to the areas of paper loss in the borders, and the paperbacking greatly diminished how noticeable the many scuffs in the image are. At some point after the card was paperbacked, it was handled roughly and there is now new paper loss in the center of the bottom blank border and some scuffs in the middle of the right border. The card has significant defects, so please do not bid on it unless you have carefully read the above and have carefully studied our super-sized image. Learn More about condition grades
