eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 7x454 BLEEP/REBEL ROUSERS pressbook '71 love rebels vs rebel lover Jack Nicholson! Date Sold 5/11/2014Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) the 1971 double-bill release ("Love Rebels vs The Rebel Lover!") of Bleep, the 1971 Richard Erdman sexploitation melodrama ("She knew how to turn them on. She didn't know how to turn them off."; "A movie about a girl who was good... especially when she was bad.") starring Peter Brown, Jo Ann Harris, Elsa Cardenas, and Rene Auberjonois ("as Arthur, The Egg"). Note that this movie was made in 1971, and was apparently re-released in 1983 under the title of "Teenage Tease". The IMDb has that release incorrectly listed as the first release of this movie, and has the re-release title as the original title, and has no mention of the original title at all! Note that Rene Auberjonois had his first real role in "MASH" in 1970, followed by roles in Altman's "Brewster McCloud" and "McCabe & Mrs. Miller" in 1970 and 1971, and it seems likely that he made this movie prior to those three, but that it was released AFTER, which would explain why he is given billing on the poster, along with an inset image! AND Rebel Rousers, the 1970 Martin B. Cohen motorcycle biker gang action thriller ("They laid waste to the flesh and blood of America's daughters"; "Their creed: 'If it feels good, do it!'") starring Jack Nicholson (billed as "Featuring Jack 'Easy Rider' Nicholson"), Bruce Dern, Diane Ladd, "co-starring... 'The Rebels'" Cameron Mitchell, Dean Stanton, Neil Burstyn, Lou Procopio, Earl Finn, and Phil Carey. Note that this movie was filmed at the same time that "Easy Rider" was filmed, and it was released after Easy Rider became a giant hit, and after Nicholson was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar, but before he won, but the producers of this movie wisely prominently featured him on the posters with his name above the title, and on some, his Academy Award nomination is added! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook (if the back cover is not the poster page, we photographed the interior poster page), and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut! Condition: good to very good, NO CUTS. There are creases in the lower right of all pages. Learn More about condition grades
