An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Lash La Rue (born Alfred Wilson LaRue) was a star of 1940s and 1950s cowboy western movies who always carried his trademark whip, which gave him his nickname. He mostly appeared in B-westerns, but he had a few roles in A-movies including: Lady on a Train, Song of Old Wyoming, and The Master Key. He passed away in 1996 at the age of 78. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a "stock" poster for use by theaters showing their 1940s Lash La Rue movies. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank yellow area at the bottom of the poster. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie, and sometimes they were sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one.
