An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Tommy Kelly was a child actor from the 1930s to the 1940s. Some of his movies include: Gone With the Wind, Battleground, He Walked By Night, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (in the title role), and The Magnificent Yankee. He passed away in 2016 at the age of 90. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Tommy Kelly! Also note that this still measures 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm]. Note that this great candid still has a large snipe on the back telling that Tommy Kelly had been picked from more than 25,000 boys who tried out for this part, and that this picture was taken in California, 3,000 miles from the "teeming Bronx neighborhood where he was born and raised", and that his father, a former church sexton, was "on the WPA relief roles" at the time the child was signed. Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahoney Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him). Our consignor (and we) feel certain that the autograph on this still is authentic! Condition: good to very good.
