s619 SCOTLAND YARD MYSTERY movie lobby card '36 The Living Dead!

An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 10 1/2" x 14") (Learn More)

The Scotland Yard Mystery (released in the U.S. in 1935 as "The Living Dead"), the 1933 Thomas Bentley English horror fantasy crime mystery suspense thriller ("From a play by Wallace Geoffrey"; about a Scotland Yard investigator trying to stop an evil genius who has created a serum that makes people appear dead, so they can collect on their life insurance, and then when the serum wears off, they are fine again!) starring Gerald du Maurier (a very distinguished British stage actor who appeared in a handful of silent movies from 1917 to 1920, and in a handful of sound movies in the early to mid 1930s; he is the father of author Daphne du Maurier), George Curzon, Grete Natzler, Belle Chrystall, Leslie Perins, and Frederick Peisley. Note that when this movie was released in the U.S., it was given the far more commercial title of "The Living Dead", but that was certainly deceptive (although the original English title was also deceptive, because there was no mystery to the film, just a suspense thriller!).

Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been trimmed and measures 10 1/2" x 14". Also note that this card has been dry-mounted on to a heavy board backing (no doubt before it was put into a frame). Other than these unusual defects, the lobby card is in pretty good condition, but there are light scuffs in the lower center of the image. Please do not bid on this card unless you can accept the above defects or are willing to have the card restored!

Condition: good.
