What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had an odd printing defect that resulted in fine white lines in the upper right and lower right of the poster, extending into the image in several places. It also had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and minor fold wear. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, but the linenbacker did not address the white lines in the right described above (they are not all that noticeable or distracting, and any restorer could touch up those areas without re-backing the poster).
