Date Sold 8/2/2015Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) One A.M., the 1916 Charlie Chaplin (Charles Chaplin) silent slapstick comedy short (about a drunken homeowner who has a difficult time getting around in his home after getting back late) starring Charles Chaplin and Albert Austin. Note that Charlie Chaplin is the only actor appearing in this short, except for a very brief scene with Albert Austin as a cab driver who drops him off. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1917 movie memorabilia from this Charlie Chaplin movie is beyond rare. In all our years of auctioning, we have only auctioned a single one-sheet, which auctioned for $15,555.36 in 2001, until we were consigned this cool glass slide! Also note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: good to very good. Over half of the black tape is missing. There is small paper loss near the center of the slide, but it is in the solid black area. There is some slight unevenness to the rest of the black area.
