Artist: Frank McCarthy Important Added Info: Note that there is a NSS stamp on the back of the poster that reads "You Only Live Twice 67/115 1SH. A Teaser". They also created a style B teaser that looked the same as this, but which had a large black blank area. That poster is part of a series of very unusual teaser posters that was designed to be used in succession revealing more of the poster with each stage - "First", "Then", "Next", and finally "Last" when the title was revealed. The idea was to promote the heritage of the Bond films and remind audiences that this was the 'true' Bond film (most likely due to competition from "Casino Royale"). But this style A teaser presents this great poster with none of the areas blacked out, so it is highly prized by collectors! Also note that this poster was tri-folded only (which means there is no vertical machine fold) but because it would be more expensive to send flat, it will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster was tri-folded only. It has some fine surface paper loss along portions of those folds (typical of high-gloss posters of this time period) and a series of faint creases running vertically approximately 8" from the right edge (just slightly more noticeable above the image of the woman painted gold). There are some creases along portions of the upper edge and there is a faint dot stain at top center. There is some pen marks at upper right in the blank corner, and someone covered them in white paint or white-out, and that area is partially torn and repaired with clear tape from the back. The poster can certainly display well as is, or after a pretty simple linenbacking it will look fantastic! Learn More about condition grades
